Photographs of Mexico
Posted
The exhibition ¡Tierra Y Libertad!: Photographs of Mexico 1900-1935 from the Casasola Archive held in 1985 consisted of 150 prints selected from the many thousands of negatives which form the Casasola Archive in Mexico. Agustin Victor Casasola was the photographer of the first social revolution of the twentieth century and the founder of the first photographic archive in Mexico.
The exhibition opening coincided with two important events; the seventy-fifth anniversary of the beginning of the Mexican Revolution, and the visit of President Miguel de la Madrid to Great Britain.
