David Maljkovic’s edition for Modern Art Oxford was produced to accompany his work in Modern Art Oxford’s KALEIDOSCOPE exhibition A Moment of Grace, 16 April – 6 June 2016, the second exhibition in Modern Art Oxford’s 50th anniversary year programme.
In his work, Maljkovic continually draws on materials from his own archive to create collages which evoke the layered nature of contemporary media. The image in this edition is drawn from Maljkovic’s New Reproductions, which featured in the exhibition at Modern Art Oxford: a series of vertically aligned trays that can be slotted in and out to reveal different images. The edition has been printed on loose canvas to create an entirely new work, demonstrating the multiple possibilities that can be generated from the same body of material.
A limited edition of 12 prints, exclusive to Modern Art Oxford. All our editions come with a certificate of authenticity.
Modern Art Oxford editions are generously donated by the artists. All proceeds from the sale of these works directly support our exhibition and education programmes.
