Daniel Buren
Intervention II, works in situ
Posted
Daniel Buren designs his work in situ on location, and in keeping with his methods completed his work one day before the opening of his exhibition at Modern Art Oxford. This publication was launched at the opening night, and included photography of this latest work.
The catalogue is based on the idea of a folder with inserts, the design of which was born out of the constraints of Buren’s infamous 8.7cm stripe and the required number of sections and dividers – a brightly coloured mathematical challenge of simplicity and purity. Printed in an edition of 2,000 copies.
